Have you considered taking a different route for your holidays this year!

Time to get booking that holiday now, your running out of time and will miss the offers around? Many People immediately think of those European countries, that have easy access, somewhere like Portugal or Turkey? Don’t you think you should try something different this time, how about something new and exciting.

Well the world offers these holidays on a platter just for you, all you need to do is pick one of the locations that you feel excited about. So why do I suggest a Tropical holiday, what is so special about it? Well that’s what I am here to try and divulge!

Sri Lanka is a relatively new idea for many tourists. This is where the Civil war was raging on, and has now subsided, so now Tourists are welcome to visit. This country has received a lot of hype purely for its natural beauty, of which it greatly deserves. This place has been referred to as the tear drop of God because of its geographical shape and the amount of Forest and lakes across it. Prices are coming down fast and bookings going up, you should definitely visit this place if you want to see something different to a “normal” life!

St Lucia is a small island in the Caribbean, and is the favourite holiday destination in the Caribbean for celebrities. This small island packs a big punch for its tourists, with two distinct holiday features, one is a spa treatment and the other is a safari. Probably the most contrast in holidays in such a small space. This island is also populated with a dense forest, which holds many different animals inside. Then for something completely different yet still in the same country there is a Spa at practically every hotel in St Lucia.

There are hundreds more, even some that offer Scuba Diving holidays, just like St Lucia does, and others are better for seeing animals like Maldives Diving, but there are so many more Luxury holidays around!  Even Egypt holidays or Cuba holidays!

Is the recession still holding back the long haul holiday?

And so the holidays are here again. Several different holiday research companies have announced that vacation bookings have already risen since last year by 1.6%. Although this isn’t a huge number, this is an increase that hasn’t been expected this early, holidays were expected to carry on decreasing.

A retail firm in New York has released information that they predict an increase in holiday sales next year to be even more. Shopper Trak is a Retail research company that has predicted rises in holiday bookings in the next holiday season. Bookings for holidays next year, started as early as August, and have been increasing right through into October. Because this year has been bad for holiday bookings, it is expected that next year bookings will rise. Bookings to locations around the world are expected to increase, however those to North America and locations on the Equator are on the rise.

Although the overall amount of searches for holidays has come down, people have been a little more adventurous with what they spend there money on. The sign that we are booking yet even more holidays must mean that we are slowly getting rid of our money problems.

The most popular holidays are; Egypt holidays, America holidays, and strangely Cuba holidays. These three places seem to be getting the highest level of enquiries. In England more than 160,000 people a month (Albeit some the same each month) enquire only about Egypt holidays.

When looking at some of the holidays being booked it becomes clear that Caribbean holidays, Indian Ocean holidays and Africa holidays are going to be among the most popular in the future. These all together receive the most amounts of enquiries than any other holiday. Other Tour Operators have speculated that the Dominican Republic will be the place to holiday, probably due to the refurbishment of the islands image that the Government is attempting to clean up.Holidays to locations around the world, are on the rise, now we need to keep them increasing as well.

Egypt or Cuba for your next holiday

Although they are different they do have a similarity. Although these countries are very different, but they both hold something unique to each other in history terms. Cuba is a victim of the past being frozen. This is a great area to see the Ancient world. But of these two which is best for a holiday?

Cuba holidays have slowly come into the tourism light. They haven’t been sought after much before the year 2000, mainly because they were considered dangerous. Cuba is set in its own past, old cars and bars still exist and are doing very well, the modernisation of Cuba has come to a bit of a slow stop. Although they have a powerful military control, the streets of Cuba are lined with very old and traditional houses; the roads are pebble stone or concrete. They are also the producers of the most expensive cigars in the world, all hand rolled. Some of the Cigar factories give people the chance to roll their own cigars. Cuba offers some truly great diving locations, covered in coral and very clear blue seas.

Egypt holidays have always been popular with many people. Now these holidays are getting cheaper as well. Egypt is the place to see the oldest civilization in the world. Egypt is huge so in order for you to see everything that is available for tourists in this place means that you will need a long holiday. If anything you must visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx; these are some of the most stunning sights anybody will ever be able to lay their eyes on. Not to mention they have been around for thousands of years, amazing. Cairo is a great place to be for all the hustle and bustle of all the people and markets, many people visit this place just for the crazy trading atmosphere. Egypt is home to the oldest civilization known to man, and a library that contains some of the oldest scripts in the world. This place is considered the place for all knowledge.

So there you go now you have two very exciting places to consider for your next holiday, I would recommend either one of them, but for weddings abroad it has to be Cuba.

Go back in time on your next holiday!

One place in this world that you must visit before it’s too late is Cuba. This is by far one of the most unique and beautiful countries in the world. This world is considered that of times gone by, people travel to Cuba to see the 60’s over again.

Cuba is stuck in the late 60’s, early 70’s. You wont see many modern cars in Cuba, in-fact you will find some very old ones everywhere. Tourism is becoming a big money spinner in this country. Cuba holidays offer many people all kinds of activities and new experiences. The bars and restaurants are unique and very friendly, and the flamenco dancing is original and good fun. Cuba is a country just stuck back in the place, so visit to see the world of yesterday. This is the location for many diverse cultures and some truly brilliant people. There is a massive amount for any tourist to do.

Now for the holiday maker who likes a bit of sea sun and sand, well you have come to the right place. Cuba is guaranteed to give you all of this. You can see that some of the beaches are amazing, and the hotels keep them clean. Just make sure that you book a stay in one of the hotels that is by the beach and they will give you free access to the private beach. Yo wont be disappointed at the condition of the rooms, the best way to describe them is; luxurious. Everything is very clean and well kept; the general service is prompt and friendly. I think a lot of people get the impression that Cuba is a volatile place; the simple truth is that because we don’t have much press coverage in over here, we are drawn into thinking of it in certain ways.

If you are considering a holiday this year then give Cuba a go, the only other holidays I would recommend are Egypt holidays, this is because they still maintain a very powerful and interesting history.

Holidays have become big in Cuba but is it only recognised for the Cigars it produces

Are the cigars that Cuba produces the most important thing about the country?

The Cohiba is one of the world’s most expensive cigar brands and has many different types, with prices ranging from 30 pounds to 250 pounds per cigar. Is Cuba only known for its Cigars, the Havana is known everywhere but is that all we know.

However Cuba isn’t just about the cigars that they make this quaint yet booming island has many other cultural gifts to offer us. Cuba has produced a diverse amount of famous people such as Fidel Castro the politician and Eva Mendez the actress. Castillo de Farnes is the place where Che Guevara and Fidel Castro toasted the completion of the revolution, but events like this are not well known.

Cuba holidays offer us a new niche of tourism. Although we are trying to get away from the fact that Cuba is known for its Cigars, there is a couple of places you can go and roll your own. The tongue twisting “Real Fabrica de Tabaco’s Partuga’s in Havana supplies you with what you need to make your own cigar and shows you how to roll it. With tourism booming and people travelling all around the world to this new hot spot; tourism has become one of Cuba’s biggest money spinners.

The Cuba hotels are getting more and more modern every day. Although they do have some national treasures, the Nacional Hotel has starred in many gangster films with Frank Sinatra and is one of the oldest hotels on the island. It still however has beautiful flooring and is rated 5 stars, with people like Winston Churchill being one of the many famous figures to have stayed there.

Now that they have ferries from Cuba to Jamaica you can enjoy weekend Jamaica holidays as well. Cuba is very famous for it’s cigars, but it does provide the world with a range of cultural diversity and an immense history to boot.
