Get to know what makes Penang a popular holiday destination!

The mere mention of Penang gets people raving about their food. It’s a well-known fact that Penang homes some of the best dishes in Malaysia and some even travel all the way to Penang for a total food fest! Then there are the ones who love the sun, sea, and beach who will tell you about the wonderful times they had at the beach. If not at the beach, they’d be exploring the island’s many cultural and historical landmarks to feed their curiosity about the 16th century colonization of the British.

The feeling is strange when you see Penang. Its relaxation, business and history all combined into one and you will feel a complete holiday within days! It has everything anyone needs here.

Most tourists head to Fort Cornwallis. It’s a good place to start a tour and end up with a delicious meal on Penang Road or Pulau Tikus. For food, the Gurney Drive is a popular favourite with a lot of choices of food available for each and everyone’s palette. If you have more expensive taste, Batu Ferringhi is home to some of the most well known restaurants in Malaysia, namely Eden for Asian dishes and seafood, and The Ship for a good western steak or lobster meal.

You will be glad with the amount of night activities as Batu Ferringhi has a night market selling all sorts of bits and bobs. You don’t have to buy anything but walking up the street is entertaining enough for most.

The languages spoken in Penang are Malay, English and Hokkien. Other languages and dialects can be spoken here too but may not be as used as the first mentioned three. Most Penangnites are friendly so don’t be afraid to approach them for directions.

Penang is definitely are place to have your holiday!!

Happy Holiday!!

The Caribbean offers a great selection of islands, island hopping is great fun!

It was time for me to get out of the country and go on a decent holiday. It was time that i went and got on a plane and got away from everything, i have been working as a lawyer non-stop for the past 15 years and needed some time to relax. So i thought to myself, best make this a holiday to remember, I’m off to the Caribbean?

So I booked a two week holiday that would take me to three islands. The first was the Bahamas, a fantastic place of sun, sea and sand. I thought to myself that when i get here i just want to chill by the beach, little did i know i was going to find something i really wanted to try. Swimming with dolphins, this was my chance to indulge in swimming with one of nature’s most amazing creatures. These divine and majestic marine animals are both smart and friendly. Any cost is worth this experience, i had one whole hour on my own with a trainer and a dolphin. The Bahamas was great, so far Caribbean holidays, well worth it.

So next I was taken to St Lucia. Although a small island, St Lucia had a lot to offer, ranging from celebrities to rain forests, i also saw Amy Winehouse, but was too nervous to ask for an autograph. I couldn’t believe it, this island wasn’t just about the sand and the blue seas, there was basically a rain forest that covered the whole island. We went out on a Caribbean safari, the stories they told were amazing. I had heard a lot about St Lucia holidays, but seeing it first hand was brilliant.

Next up was a real treat, Barbados. I had been looking forward to this last part of my holiday, I have always wanted to go on Barbados holidays, but it has not been completely available to me. This was the night life island, going out in the evenings was great fun and I had the most wonderful time, I would recommend these holidays to anyone that asks.
